First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LANXESS.
Process Engineer
The interview was for the role of Graduate Apprentice Trainee. The process included general questions from the chemical engineering domain, primarily focusing on the Designing and instrumentation parts, along with the basics of chemical engineering.
- Can you describe the different types of valves and their uses in various situations?
- What is LMTD?
- What is heat flux?
Business Development Manager
The interview was pretty standard for big companies. First, an introduction round, then specific questions about the role. No HR person was present. I was rejected after the first round.
- What prompted your resignation from your current position?
- Could you provide an example of how you've developed a business?
Software Engineer
After some interviews, I went to their Mumbai office for the final HR round. They said they'd let me know in 2 weeks, but then went silent for 2 months! It's wild they treat people like this after investing time in assignments and traveling for an in-person interview. This lack of communication is a huge red flag. Seriously, avoid Lanxess unless you like being messed around and having your time wasted.
- Presentation of questions and assignments, followed by questions about them.
Management Trainee
The process was smooth. They asked basic questions. It was a 1-day assessment center. There were basic interview questions with HR and the future team lead. You needed to read the job description and present some slides from university, and you'd be fine.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What information do you have about the company?
- What is your understanding of EBITDA?
