There were 4 interviews: an initial screening, 2 that were behavioral, and 1 technical interview. They really look at your technical skills (like AutoCAD/Civil3D), your career goals, your experience, and how you'd fit the company culture. Get ready to talk about your background, project work, and why you're interested in land development. Some interviews might be panel interviews, but they do take a while to get back to you.

Horrible Process and candidate experience. Interview process took 8 weeks and 5 steps. First 2 rounds with TA Manager - great and informative but could've been reduced to 1 round. 3rd round with CHRO - told it would be 45 minutes. He shows up late, and after 20 minutes ends the call without allowing any questions to be asked. He also didn't know what steps were next when I managed to squeeze in a question. 4th round in person - 3 hours long - told via email this would be the final round. Get told half way through that the interview will be cut short due to someone not being in the office. 5th round - Final Round - Virtual - Interviewer shows up 15 minutes late to the interview because they forgot, and there is a hard cut off. Overall the candidate experience was one of the worst I've had and hopefully they clean things up moving forward.

Behavioral Technical

It started with an HR recruiter call, a 30 minute interview that went super well. She talked about the company goals and the benefits. She had clearly read my resume and asked questions specific to my background. The next interview was with a project manager, who would be my direct supervisor. He explained the job duties in more detail and how my work would be distributed. Then, I interviewed with a senior associate, one of the higher-ups, who mainly wanted to gauge my interest in Langan and my future aspirations within the company. The final interview involved two senior employees from a different department I'd collaborate with. The whole process took a month. After the final interview, the HR person mentioned there were more interviews and she'd update me, but that didn't happen. For two months, I heard almost nothing, despite informing them about another job offer. I did enjoy speaking with the Langan employees, their passion for their work and hiring is evident, but the lengthy process and lack of communication were disappointing.

The first round was pretty basic, they wanted to gauge my general interest in the firm and understand why I'm pursuing this role and how I might be a good fit. It was also a chance for me to ask some initial questions. The second interview was with two Landscape Architects. It was a really fun and direct conversation where I got to showcase some of my portfolio projects and talk about my career aspirations and how this position would be really beneficial for me.
