Enterprise Account Executive
It was a 6 stage process for the EAE role on the EMEA team. It started with a screening call with a recruiter. Then there were 3 parts to the process, meeting leadership in the US. After that, there was a presentation to a panel which included account strategy and territory mapping. The final step was a call with the Head of Sales EMEA. The process felt well-thought-out, giving candidates a real and full picture of the team and culture, and lots of opportunity to ask questions related to different departments. I can't really say if it was 'difficult' or 'easy', as it's designed to help both sides make the best decision. The presentation did need a fair amount of prep, but that's standard for what I already do.
- How would you approach building pipeline to meet quota and identify/prioritize target accounts?
Software Engineer
I applied directly and about a week later, I had a recruiter call. Then it went like this: a recruiter call, a behavioral chat with a manager, a Leetcode style technical screen, and finally a panel interview that involved a project deep dive, more behavioral questions, and a system design. It felt like too many steps for a smaller company, which is why I'm giving it a neutral rating instead of positive, though the interviewers were all really nice and collaborative. The Leetcode screen was pretty standard, with an easy to medium question. The project deep dive was just about talking through a project I was proud of, which should be easy for most people. The behavioral part was also standard, and the design question was quite simple; I just explained my thought process and designed a scalable solution as they wanted.
- Can you tell me about a project you're particularly proud of?
- Standard behavioral questions were asked.
- Design an infinitely scalable solution.
Technical Support Engineer
The interview process involved a few stages. It kicked off with an HR screen, followed by meeting with two hiring managers, one for the East Coast and one for the West Coast. Then there was a take-home assignment, which was pretty straightforward with easily findable answers in the docs. After that, I had three interviews: one with a senior support engineer, another cross-functional one, and finally with the VP of Customer Success. The last step was meeting the CEO, after which I was unfortunately rejected. It was a lot of interviews, but they moved quickly. Everyone was really nice, and the take-home was the best I've ever done.
- Can you recall any specific behavioral questions?
- I don't remember any specific questions off the top of my head.
Implementation Manager
After applying online, I got an email acknowledgment. A few days later, HR asked for my availability for a Zoom interview. Then I had several 30-minute video interviews with the hiring manager and other team members. The interview process was good, but after that, I heard nothing about my application status. My requests for an update were ignored. I would have liked an offer, but at least some communication about my status would have been nice since they didn't move forward with my application. If not for the silence after the interviews, I would have rated the experience positively.
- Can you walk me through your experience?
- Tell me about a situation you faced.
- What would you say is your superpower?
