Team Leader
First, I had to do a written piece about the company values, asking for examples of when I've shown each of the five values and when I haven't. Then, I took a timed test that covered pattern recognition and mental aptitude, which was scored.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- Could you provide examples of when you have demonstrated each of our five core company values?
- Can you share instances where you did not exhibit each of our five core company values?
Dialler Manager
I applied for the job and was contacted by someone who asked some general questions and said the hiring manager would reach out. I waited a week and followed up, only to be told they were waiting on the hiring manager. After more waiting, I was told my application wasn't moving forward. I tried to get feedback on why I wasn't contacted for the initial call but got no response, even after following up. I posted about this experience, and the recruitment manager contacted me to apologize and promised feedback soon. I was then called by the same person who initially reached out and was told I didn't have enough managerial experience. This was surprising as my resume shows about 2 years as a dialler manager. I was then told the hiring manager wanted someone with at least 4 years of experience, which confused me since the job post mentioned 2-5 years. I'm disappointed by the dishonesty and the focus on years over the quality of experience.
- What is your notice period?
- What are your salary expectations?
- If you were successful, when could you start with Kura?
Marketing Executive
The process was really long. From the first chat, it took two weeks to even get an interview date. There was some confusion, like one person said I could interview after hours, but another said no and only offered two bad times. When the interview did happen, it went well. A few days later, I got feedback saying it was good, but they had more people to interview for comparison. There were still TWO more interviews left. A week after that, they emailed asking if I was still interested because things were taking longer than expected. I totally lost interest then. They talk about rebranding and changing focus, but it sounds like they're not there yet.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Customer Service Agent
I received an invitation for a face-to-face interview with a week's notice, which I appreciated as it gave me time to prepare. Upon arriving at the office, I was informed that I first had to complete a test. This involved listening to three recorded calls and taking notes on the main details, with no opportunity to ask for clarification. I also had to complete a quiz. After the test, I was told I didn't pass due to a couple of spelling mistakes. This meant the interview was over before it even began, as I never got to speak with anyone about my customer service skills. It's frustrating because they claim to be a top outsourcer in the UK with great software solutions, yet they don't seem to use online assessments beforehand, making candidates waste their time preparing and traveling for an interview that ends abruptly based on minor errors.
