So, they started off asking about what industry trends I could see coming up for the next year, specifically from an account planning point of view. There were some situation-based questions too, but not many. Mostly they wanted to see how up-to-date I was.

Behavioral Technical Case

I had a screener interview with the recruiter who contacted me by email. She had to reschedule our first meeting, but once we found a new time, we spoke for about 30 minutes and she asked several behavioral questions. About a week later, I was invited for an in-person interview downtown. I met with a few competent women in the business and completed an Excel test along with a short business writing assignment. I was kept in a conference room for the entire 2 hours and didn't get to see the actual workspace. They mentioned they'd be in touch with next steps by the end of the following week. After sending multiple follow-up emails to the recruiter in New York without a response, I finally received a rejection over a month after my interview.

The first step was a phone interview where they asked general questions about my experience, education, and why I want to work for Kinetic. After that, I had a face-to-face interview. It was pretty laid back, the interviewers were friendly and encouraging. The office itself is bright and creative.

I interviewed for the IT Manager role. The HR person was not good. During the interview with the CEO, I was offered a high salary. However, HR then told me the CEO didn't agree to that pay. Later, the CEO asked me why I didn't ask HR for a lower salary. HR was not a good man.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • What is your expected Basic Salary?
  • The IT Team asked me a lot of questions about the requirements for the position.
