So after going through the interview process, I realized the role was pretty different from what they advertised. It was supposed to be marketing and social media, but in the second interview, it turned out the main thing they wanted was sales – like, setting up events and getting new clients for the clinic. It felt kind of misleading and a bummer. I guess some companies call a job marketing when it's really more sales, which is annoying when you're looking for actual marketing jobs.

After receiving an email to move forward, I provided my availability and a date was set for the first interview. The interviewer was very friendly, and the conversation felt natural, not too formal or stressful. She sent me the confirmation for the second interview just five minutes after we finished the first. The second interview was similar but included two other people from the office. It was still very casual, but also informative and efficient. They were nice, and the conversation went well, despite my anxiety. After getting the next email, the third interview was an on-site meeting to get a feel for the position and meet some staff. It seemed to go well, like a practice run. I received my offer the day after. They were very communicative, answered all my questions, and were understanding about technical difficulties. It was the best interview process I've experienced; they didn't make me feel like I was desperate for the job or force me to jump through hoops. I could just be myself, and they liked that.

So I applied on their website and then I got an email right away saying thanks for your interest and that someone would reach out if I was a match. Almost immediately after, the recruiter emailed me to pick times for an interview with her. The next week, we had a video call where she went over the role and asked about my background. Then she set up a call with the hiring manager. After that video call, they said I'd hear back if I was moving on to the final interview with the hiring manager's boss. I had that video call, and then they told me the recruiter would call in a few days with the final decision. A few days after that last interview, the recruiter called me with the offer.

I applied and got an email asking for availability for an interview Wed-Fri. I replied I was very interested and could make any time work, but then got no response. On Friday, I followed up and was told the times I gave didn't work, but was asked about Monday. I said any time would work again, and got an invite for Tuesday. The first interview, I was asked about my goals, why I was leaving, and what to expect. I was told I'd move to the next round. The second interview was the next week and only 15 minutes. I was asked to describe an experience with an unhappy patient and how I'd handle it. I was told they'd reach out if they wanted to advance. A week later, I got an email saying I was advancing to the final interview for Friday at 11. At 11:45, after I reached out about the missed time, I got a call saying they had internet issues. The interviewer seemed rushed and ended the call in 10 minutes, saying they'd be in touch about a potential offer. A week passed with no response, so I followed up via email and phone. Two weeks passed, and I emailed again. I was told they were in discussions and I was a top candidate, and I'd hear in a few days. Three weeks after the interview, I emailed again, excited but noting I hadn't heard back, and mentioned another offer but that fertility was my passion. No response. It's now been 6 weeks since the final interview with no response to my last email or voicemail. I was completely ghosted, which is disappointing, especially since I took vacation time for the last two interviews. My advice to management is to let candidates know their status, even if they aren't selected, especially if they've taken time off. This shows respect and helps them move on to other opportunities.
