First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KIND.
HR Generalist
The process was pretty standard and lasted about an hour. There were two interviewers. It took a bit to get a response back, but that's pretty normal for some companies. The HR team wasn't super involved, they just helped set things up.
- Can you walk me through your career progression?
- Tell me about your experience using HR technologies.
Financial Analyst
The interview process had three main parts. First, a recruiter called me to screen my application. They were nice and asked about my background, experience, and why I wanted to work at KIND. They also told me a lot about the role and the company culture, focusing on KIND’s values and mission. Then, I had a technical interview with someone senior from the finance team. This part included both technical and behavioral questions. They asked about basic accounting, financial modeling, and how I'd solve problems related to KIND’s business. I also had to give examples of times I'd used financial insights to help make decisions. The last part was a case study presentation followed by a panel interview. The case study was pretty simple but needed good financial analysis and strategic thinking skills. The panel was friendly and gave me helpful feedback on my presentation.
- Can you share what you consider your strengths and weaknesses to be?
Quality Manager
I applied online after seeing a job post on LinkedIn. A few days later, I had a Teams call with a recruiter, and then a week after that, I had an interview also via Teams. The questions were situational and experience-based. I felt it went well. They said I'd hear back in about 1-2 weeks. After two weeks with no word, I emailed for an update because I really wanted this job, but I also had another opportunity moving faster. The recruiter promised an update by that Friday, but it didn't happen. Later, the job was taken down, so I figured it was filled. While the initial interview was fine, I really wish I'd at least gotten a follow-up so I knew where I stood. I'll keep an eye out for future openings, as I've heard great things about the company, but the broken promise of a follow-up was disappointing.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage challenging team members and describe your approach to resolving the situation?
Material Planner
I had an interview with an internal recruiter, who was really nice and the conversation flowed well. She mentioned she loved my energy and background and was expecting to hear from the hiring manager the next day about moving forward. However, a week later, I found out I didn't make it to the next interview. I had emailed the interviewer the day before getting rejected, but got no reply. It was confusing because she expressed how well I fit the position, yet I wasn't selected for the next round.
- What would your coworker say about you if asked?
