I applied online and then went through a total of 7 interviews PLUS homework. I met with the recruiter, then the hiring manager, then a panel interview. After all the hours I spent with them, I was told I did amazing and they really liked what they saw. I was then immediately ghosted after the last round. All emails to the hiring manager and recruiter for followups went unanswered. With all the time and energy I spent for them, a simple thank you but no thank you would have been nice. If they can't even manage a decent response, I can't imagine how well they are to work with. Maybe I dodged a bullet.

The whole process took about a month and a half. I spoke with about 9 people from the department, and they were all really nice. I got a verbal offer from HR and the Art Director, and they even welcomed me and asked about my moving timeline since it was an onsite role. I told them I could relocate in 3 weeks and start working. After a couple of weeks, I asked HR for the official offer letter, but then they told me they had to put the offer on hold and pause. I was super confused and upset.

Got an email to set up a phone chat, but on the day, the interviewer had changed it to a Zoom call without telling me. She seemed annoyed when I gave her my number instead of joining the Zoom. She also made assumptions about the candidate being 'she' and said things like 'if the team even likes her,' which sounded like a really toxic environment. I only got asked two questions about my motivation and experience. When I asked if she had more questions, she basically said it felt like I was interviewing her and told me to ask my questions. The whole call was maybe 10 minutes, and she just hung up after saying I'd hear back tomorrow if I moved forward. It was the worst interview experience ever and made me not want to work there.

The hiring process was straightforward initially, with a recruiter call and a hiring manager interview. Things seemed promising after that. However, the situation deteriorated quickly. Just an hour before a scheduled panel interview where I was supposed to present a creative content/case study for the role, the recruiter contacted me with a bait-and-switch regarding the salary. The new proposed salary was $40,000 less than initially discussed. When I stated I would not proceed, the recruiter inquired about my current salary (which is illegal) and then offered to match it, but at $20,000 more than the new offer and $20,000 less than the original range. Big red flags everywhere. I advise avoiding this company, especially given their disregard for California state laws.
