Sales Manager
I applied online and got a text to schedule a recruiter call. I was excited and prepared for it. But 2 minutes before the interview, I got a text saying they had to pause the conversation because the recruiter needed to send my resume to the VP of Sales to check for alignment. They said they'd get back to me to reschedule. I found this unprofessional given the company's size, as I could have been doing something else instead of waiting. The next day, I got a rejection email. It seems like they should have checked my qualifications before scheduling an interview.

Sales Counselor
It started with a panel interview with the other candidates. You should be ready to ask at least 3 good questions and also answer at least 5 interview questions. Right after the panel interview, there were individual interviews.

Studio Consultant
Got a quick call from the recruiter at KB, they talked about the job details. They asked me some easy questions and then set up an assessment test. The test had over 65 CS issue questions. I didn't hear anything back after the test. Honestly, they could have just emailed me the test instead of making me drive and sit in an office to watch some animated character ask me 65 random questions. I don't really like companies that do this... it feels like a lazy and impersonal way to interview. If they want to know if I'm qualified, a good fit, or how I handle clients under pressure, we should just sit down and talk one-on-one. My time is important too.
- Why did you choose to apply for this position?
- Can you answer these CS issue questions?
Sales Consultant
First, I got through a phone interview. Then, I had a test at the corporate office. The last interview was at a home site with the sales manager. After finishing all the tests, I never heard back. When I called the recruiter, they said the sales manager was still interviewing other people. It's been a while, and I feel like the whole process was a waste of time. The recruiter calls were fine at first, and the trip to the main office for the test was okay too. The issue was with the final interview with the sales manager. It was unprofessional from the start because he took a long break after I arrived on time and came back without his team to finish the interview. He never told me important things about the job or let me know if I got the job. He seemed tired and unfocused. I should have left when I was waiting for him to finish eating junk food.
- Describe how you would manage a walk-in customer from the initial interaction through to closing the sale.
- What steps would you take to resolve an issue that arises during a sale?
