Behavioral Other

I had a 15-minute speed dating interview with three other candidates. It was in an open room, and we were supposed to get different questions at each stop. I actually got the same question at all four locations. They said decisions would be sent out in 2 to 3 weeks, but it's been four months and I haven't heard anything. It felt really informal and disrespectful because I couldn't get comfortable being timed and in an open space. I won't consider working for them because they treat intern candidates poorly.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Had a phone interview that was about an hour, then waited two weeks for an invite to an in-person interview in Stevensville, Michigan. The in-person was 3.5 hours with 3 senior staff members. It was rapid fire Q&A on many different topics, and everything seemed positive. We also did two separate walks of the shop floor and they asked questions at different machine builds. In the end, I didn't get any feedback, and they didn't even offer to reimburse me for travel expenses. It's disrespectful of my time to not provide feedback when not moving forward.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process has been one of the best in my career. It began with a recruiter phone call to gauge my interest, discuss relocation to Holland, MI, and cover company culture and benefits. We had a high-level discussion about the role to ensure a mutual fit. Within 24 hours, I received a call and email confirming JR wanted a face-to-face with the key team members. Once we agreed on a date, the recruiter sent an agenda with names, titles, and time slots. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the lead recruiter and support staff, which eased my nerves. Meeting the team throughout the interview felt more like a business meeting or brainstorming session with passionate, talented individuals, rather than a typical interview, highlighting the incredible company culture.

First, there was a 45-minute phone screening with the recruiter. Then, an onsite interview happened with three recruiting team members, which lasted for 1 hour. I got the result of the onsite interview after 3 weeks, which felt quite long and could have been quicker.
