I was brought in as a contractor, which was typical for about 6 months. A recruiter reached out about a job opening. After my contract ended, I was offered a full-time role. The only pre-screening was a brief phone call with the recruiter. The interview happened just a couple days after the recruiter first contacted me. I met with 4 people who were engineers and managers. They really wanted to know if I was eager to do the job. Since I had just graduated college, my experience was mainly from internships.

First, there was a 45-minute phone screening with the recruiter. Then, an onsite interview happened with three recruiting team members, which lasted for 1 hour. I got the result of the onsite interview after 3 weeks, which felt quite long and could have been quicker.

First, a recruiter gave me a call and we talked about the job. Then, I had another phone interview that lasted for about an hour. After that, I had a two-hour phone interview with a couple of engineering managers. Later, they paid for my trip to Michigan, and we had a formal interview with several managers, and they took me out for dinner a couple times.
