Started with a quick chat with HR, then a 30 min interview with the Hiring Manager. They asked some basic questions to get to know me, then moved on to some technical questions, and finally some situational questions. It wasn't too tough overall.

Recruiter called the day after I applied, had a great chat and felt good about what's next. Then I had a Zoom screen with two interviewers a few days later. The questions were challenging but it was a good experience and I felt good about it. They said I'd hear back in 24-48 hours. I waited 10 days, emailed the recruiter, but never heard back. Ghosted.

The initial phone call was just to set up the first interview, which was 1.5 hours. I was initially told a decision would be made by the end of that week, but then got a call saying it would be pushed to Monday, and then again to the end of the following week. Then, I was called in for a second interview. The decision was supposed to be communicated by Monday, then again by the end of that week. I eventually withdrew my application because the drawn-out process made me feel like there were underlying issues with the company. I was already hesitant about the offer due to the lack of mileage reimbursement for the 20K annual miles required, no base pay, and no vacation for the first year, with only five days granted after that year, which also couldn't be taken from October through New Years. The company's recent losses of major brands like Jack Daniels and Jagermeister, without gaining new ones, also contributed to my feeling that it might be a shady operation, and I suspect I'm not the only one who feels that way.

It was a pretty laid-back process, with face-to-face meetings happening at a local coffee shop. They mostly asked standard questions, pulling info right from my resume which the hiring manager had in front of them. It wasn't super intense, not really getting into deep sales process stuff. The conversation was mainly about my previous sales and account management experience and how it fit the job.
