The initial phone call was just to set up the first interview, which was 1.5 hours. I was initially told a decision would be made by the end of that week, but then got a call saying it would be pushed to Monday, and then again to the end of the following week. Then, I was called in for a second interview. The decision was supposed to be communicated by Monday, then again by the end of that week. I eventually withdrew my application because the drawn-out process made me feel like there were underlying issues with the company. I was already hesitant about the offer due to the lack of mileage reimbursement for the 20K annual miles required, no base pay, and no vacation for the first year, with only five days granted after that year, which also couldn't be taken from October through New Years. The company's recent losses of major brands like Jack Daniels and Jagermeister, without gaining new ones, also contributed to my feeling that it might be a shady operation, and I suspect I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Behavioral Presentation

There were 2 interviews, one with the director and one with the General Manager. They didn't ask any scripted questions but it was more of a conversation. They want to get to know your personality more than anything.

Applied and things moved really fast. Didn't get many details upfront, especially about how the stated commission is actually earned. Even after accepting the offer, they were vague about the commission structure, and didn't explain personal/sick time, 401k, or vacation. When I asked the hiring manager about commission, he just kept repeating the target figure. For 401k, vacation, sick time, and insurance, I only got an insurance brochure. Then it got weird and pushy with deadlines like "reply by 3pm today" even though I'd already accepted with HR. The whole thing is just unclear. The pay and benefits were hazy, with a target commission number for a commission-only role, but no explanation on how it's calculated. It's strange to get a job offer from a big company with no real information. I definitely wouldn't recommend this process.
