I interviewed for the accounts executive job at Jeffery Charles. This role involves door-to-door sales. The second interview requires shadowing a salesperson to see if you fit the position. If you're okay with walking around NYC without making any sales, this could be a good fit. I turned down their job offer because it was 100% commission.

Behavioral Case

I was job hunting pretty hard before graduating college hoping to get a job lined up. I applied to so many places that I don't specifically remember applying here. The recruiter, Subin, was super nice and thought I'd be a good fit even though my background is more in PR than sales. My first interview was with a manager who was really professional. She asked me about my past accomplishments and my future goals to see if they aligned with what they were looking for. At the end of the interview, she told me more about the company's growth strategy and invited me for a second interview. The second interview really cleared things up. I spent the whole day with the person who would become my trainer if I got hired. We went out to meet business owners and talk to them about their clients. I was a bit nervous because she was watching me as I talked to customers, but the people we met were mostly really nice. Two of them even decided to sign up, which was awesome to see.

Behavioral Presentation

Interviewed for an Account Manager role, which turned out to be more of a door-to-door sales position than I expected. The interview itself was mostly positive, and the interviewer was very friendly. They went over the daily tasks and company details. I was invited for a second interview to shadow a sales rep for a day, but I declined.

Other

The interview was a two step process. I went with a Lead Account Executive to finishing up some accounts as well as interact with some new accounts. It was very cold out that day. It was exactly what the hiring manager explained. The Lead Account Executive was fun and knowledgeable to work with. The opportunity for professional and personal development was really what caught my attention.
