First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS.
Customer Support
Had a talk with the team lead and department head. They asked for a brief intro, introduced themselves, and then explained the job. They talked about what they look for in a person and what qualities are needed. They presented a few scenarios and asked how I would act in those situations. Got a call back within 4 days saying I got the job.
- What do you think you can contribute to the team?
ITS Engineer
It was a good interview process. They asked some basic questions and a few competency-based questions. The team seemed really friendly. Two people from different business areas interviewed me. The competency questions were engaging. It started with a video interview, followed by an in-person interview conducted face-to-face.
- What made you decide to pursue ITS?
Payroll Specialist
The interview process was easy and a good experience. It was on time. I had good communication with the interviewer. It went smooth. They were very calm in listening to my answers. They also provided me with documents for the interview. They explained every single thing in detail.
- Could you describe some of the challenges encountered in your prior role?
Marketing Intern
First interview with HR, really not empathetic, didn't give good vibes. Then interview with the manager, very capable: get-to-know-you and motivational interview, with a small case study. Last interview with the head of the Italy area, a really rude and ill-mannered person. During the whole interview, they didn't make me feel comfortable, all seasoned with not-so-nice barbs. The HR and the manager were also present in this last interview, they seemed to have a reverential fear of the guy, which indicates a toxic environment, where despotism reigns.
- What coffee do you drink?
- Tell me about the last book you read.
- Describe your approach to this case study.
