HR called and invited me for the interview. I went to the company and the front desk checked me in. I had to fill out some info and then took an exam. The exam wasn't too difficult. After waiting a bit, the project manager talked to me. They asked about my college major and past projects. Then, they told me to wait for their response.

I got a call for a Junior Java Dev position. First, I had a phone interview where we mostly talked about my background. That led to an on-site interview. The on-site was totally technical and included a written test. A senior engineer conducted it and had told the recruiter there was nothing to prepare for, which wasn't true. When I got there, he immediately started with technical questions and gave me a paper test on Data Structures and Algorithms. I felt misled about that. Overall, a bad experience.

I applied and a few days later got an email asking me to do the practice/training and the test evaluation. I passed the test after spending a lot of time reading their guidelines and then finished the practice and exam. They offered me the job, I signed the contract and gave my personal info, but then haven't heard anything from my contact person. I've emailed them several times to check in and no reply. I even reached out through their website about why, after signing the contract, I still haven't received any further information about starting the job I was offered, and still nothing over a month ago. Honestly, this seems really unprofessional and I'd be hesitant to work for a company that operates like this.

The process has a few tests you gotta pass to get to the next one. If you pass them all, you'll get a contract to work for iSoftStone as an independent contractor. After you apply, a recruiter emails you. They send you study stuff to prep for your skills test. Read it carefully, it's super important to pass! After the test, your recruiter gets back to you with feedback and tells you if you move on. There were no typical interview questions like strengths/weaknesses, it's all about passing the skills tests.

  • Are you familiar with search engines such as Google or Bing?
