Senior Software Engineer
The interview process had three parts: two technical rounds and a final discussion. Technical Round 1 was mostly about my past work, how I solve problems, and real-life situations I've dealt with. Technical Round 2 involved puzzles and DSA questions, including a puzzle, building a URL shortener, and then improving it with follow-up questions. Early on, I talked about my salary expectations and got confirmed multiple times that it was okay if I passed. After the three rounds, I waited about three weeks with no news. Finally, they said I passed and was a good fit, but then told me they couldn't offer my expected salary or even close to my current pay. This was super disappointing and felt like a bait-and-switch after the earlier confirmations. Communication was bad and slow the whole time, making it stressful. Knowing about other bad reviews and this experience, I'd say think twice before applying here. The interview process seems to show how the company operates.
- Could you write the code for a URL shortener using a database?
Data Engineer
The first round was pretty straightforward. They asked about my past work and presented some hypothetical situations. Also asked about my current project, how I would design a pipeline, what actions I'd take if it failed, and logistical stuff like joining time and notice period.
- Can you walk me through your past projects?
- Imagine a pipeline fails, what's your approach and what steps would you take?
- What's the earliest you could start?
Technical Content and Documentation Manager
Started with a recruiter phone screen, then interviewed with the hiring manager. After that was a 3-hour on-site where I had to pay for parking. The on-site was split into three parts: the first hour with two technical writers, the second hour with instructional design, and the third hour was a loop back with the hiring manager. The hiring manager seemed to have good intentions but came across as really intense but candid. After the on-site, they ghosted me for three weeks until I emailed them to ask for an update.
- What would you do if an engineer was very upset and kept disrupting your meeting?
Sales Engineer
The interview process was pretty quick. It started with a recruiter call, then a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager, followed by a 30-45 minute chat with a peer. The final round was a 45-minute meeting with the Head of Sales Engineering. There wasn't a project or presentation, but I did have to do an on-the-spot demo during the hiring manager interview.
- Can you walk me through your background and experience?
- Explain your knowledge of financial terms concerning broker-dealers, clearing houses, and family offices.
