First, they screen your resume to see if you have the right qualifications. Then, there's an initial chat, maybe on the phone or video, to see if you're a good fit and if you're interested. After that, you might have a skill test or assignment to check your technical abilities. The main interviews will dig into your background, how you act, and how you solve problems. Sometimes, there's a final interview with a few people from the team to check your overall fit and skills more deeply. They might also check your references, but that's not always done. Finally, if you make it, you'll get a job offer and can talk about the details.

You could either walk in or do the whole thing virtually. I was the only one out of the new joiners who got an offer after the online interview. First, there's a mock interview to check your product knowledge and how you handle clients. Then, a second virtual interview, mostly with the manager, which is pretty standard. Finally, there's a quick HR chat where they tell you the salary and ask if you'd accept it. For online applicants, definitely follow up with HR after your interview if you don't hear back. HR actually forgot to email me the offer letter even after we agreed on the phone, so following up is key for online interviews.

Technical Other

The interview started with an assignment, which was a guesstimate, followed by a technical interview. The interviewers seemed rushed and ended the whole thing in just 13 minutes. They weren't welcoming at all, and it felt like they had already made a decision about another candidate, making my interview feel like a mere formality. The questions weren't even technical or data analysis related, which was a bummer because I had prepared for the technical side. It really felt like I didn't get a fair shot, and there's a lot of room for improvement in the types of relevant questions asked in technical interviews.
