So first off, I did these personality tests. Then I spoke with HR, they kinda explained the job and what they're looking for and what I'm looking for. After that, I had a technical interview with some people, but before that, I had to do this data architecture assessment thing. During the interview, we talked about a bunch of stuff like data governance, data quality, data security, and also like soft and hard skills.

Behavioral Technical

The job title was listed as Senior Associate or Specialist, which was confusing since those are different pay grades. I went through a pre-screening, then an interview with the hiring manager, and then another interview with the hiring manager and two colleagues. They scheduled the interviews on the same day with only an hour between them, without checking my availability. It seemed like the hiring manager hadn't even looked at my resume during the second interview. After that, I was ghosted; my follow-up email got no response, and I later found out the position was canceled through the candidate portal. The company's general advice, even at job fairs and for employees, is to network within the organization. Having connections or being referred by someone with ties to a top employee apparently significantly increases your chances of getting hired. Meritocracy doesn't seem to exist there. The questions were mainly about my career gap, my nationality (asked multiple times), and some generic questions.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So, after getting selected, the interview process had two stages. First, there was a 20-30 minute chat with HR that mostly covered behavioral questions. After that, there was a technical interview that lasted about an hour. For this part, I had to prepare a 5-7 minute presentation on a technical topic. Then, each person on the panel asked me two questions. These questions didn't seem to be directly about my presentation, and felt like standard questions. The whole interview felt rushed, like I barely had time to breathe, let alone introduce myself at the start. To top it off, the rejection came through an automated message, the same one they send to people who don't even get an interview. No feedback, nothing. They said it would take two weeks to decide, but I got the generic email after just one week. It really felt like they already picked someone before the interviews even began, and this was just a formality. Such a waste of time applying and preparing, especially when you don't know anyone on the committee.

Technical Behavioral

This was the worst interview experience I've ever had. Major red flags included a lack of basic respect in communication, with emails often not addressing me by my name. They also showed no consideration for my availability, scheduling the screening interview without asking and ignoring my request to reschedule. The process was misleading; I was told the next step after screening would be a panel interview, but instead, I was unexpectedly given a technical test. After I spent a whole day on the test report, there was no response or feedback, even after I followed up a week later. While I know the market is tough, I'd avoid this company due to their lack of basic respect for applicants.
