Data Scientist
The interview was about an hour long. It covered a lot of technical stuff about machine learning, like model evaluation, overfitting, and feature engineering. They also asked two easy coding questions, mostly about data manipulation and problem-solving. Plus, there were three behavioral questions about communication, teamwork, and handling challenges. It felt like a good mix of technical and soft skills.

UX Engineer
We'll start with a quick resume walkthrough (10-15 min). Just give a quick summary of your background, focusing on stuff that shows your skills and impact. For jobs or projects, tell us what you did, what skills you used, any tough spots, and how you got past them. Try to use numbers to show what you achieved, like "20% better engagement" or "30% faster loading." Then we'll do some scenario-based UI/UX questions (15-20 min). Talk about your design process: how you figure out user needs, make personas, sketch, wireframe, prototype, and get feedback. You might have to solve a UI/UX problem live, like making an old interface better or designing for a specific user situation. Explain how you'd tackle it with the user in mind. Also, tell us about a time you got design feedback, how you took it, and what you changed. And how do you balance what users want with what the business needs? Show you care about users and can be flexible.
- Can you explain your approach to handling merge conflicts?
Claims Adjuster
First, there was an initial chat with an HR person for about 30 mins. They went over the job posting and asked some basic questions about my experience and why I wanted to work at ICBC. They also told me what to expect next and had me do two assessments: one for typing and one for listening. After that, the real interview happened with two managers who asked behavioral questions and gave me a situation to see how I'd handle it.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved a conflict with a colleague?
- Describe your approach to managing challenging clients.
Driver Examiner II
If you attend a job fair, you'll take a multiple-choice test. If you pass, there's a group interview. If you get selected from there, you'll have a 1-on-1 interview and then you'll be hired. Normally, the selected candidate will have a 1-on-1 or 1-on-2 interview and then be hired.
- Can you describe how you would deliver unwelcome news to a customer?
- What are your thoughts on workplace diversity and how do you feel about it?
- Share an experience where you provided excellent customer service.
