I've interviewed for a few different jobs here over the last year, going through the whole process for one and then waiting ages for a decision, no offer in the end. The whole thing took about two months. I talked to three different recruiters and a bunch of hiring managers for other roles and they all said I did great. I even had a few senior people inside refer me. They told me to keep applying because they were hiring a lot, but they're still posting the same jobs. For some of them, they said I was too senior. I put in a lot of interview time and got good feedback every time. Then they said they wanted to hire more junior people and pay less. I said I'd take a junior role for less money. But after all that, no offer. Ever.

I started with a recruiter screening call, then had a follow-up with the manager. After that, there were 5 separate panel interviews, each lasting 45 minutes, with one interviewer per session. These interviews were pretty conversational, and didn't really have dedicated coding or system design parts. Some questions felt quite junior, like asking about different types of database joins. They also threw in some small coding tasks and questions specific to certain languages or frameworks, for example, about how rate limiting is implemented in Spring Boot. My overall feeling was that some interviewers weren't fully prepped, as they asked questions only relevant to their specific projects.

The first interview seemed to go well, and I think my portfolio helped clarify the interviewer's understanding of what the hiring manager was looking for. I believe they were interested in hearing about candidates' use of the Kirkpatrick model to assess the effectiveness of eLearning and assessments. The interviewer mentioned setting up a second interview with the hiring manager, and I provided my availability. However, I was then ghosted for two weeks until I followed up and professionally inquired about the status of the second round. My main issue was the disconnect between being told a second interview was planned and then receiving a curt email two weeks later stating they had found someone else. Interestingly, they have re-posted the job, which is confusing given the competitive job market. I received no feedback when I asked for it. I cannot recommend their interview process.
