The interview process started with a recruiter phone call, followed by a hiring manager phone call. Even though both calls went really well, I was rejected the next day. I suspect Insulet did a reference check with my current employer because we were both in healthcare and had some mutual contacts. This is really not acceptable. References should be provided when requested, and contacting an employee's current employer for references is inappropriate. What kind of references were they expecting? It's a shame because the company's mission seemed good, but I'd advise others considering applying here to think about this experience.

Four month process for an entry level gig, which is pretty long. Communication was bad, like ghosting and waiting weeks for updates, made follow ups a drag. The interviews themselves were a mixed bag. Questions weren't that hard, but some interviewers felt like they were just going through the motions, made it feel like an interrogation. The whole long timeline and poor communication was unexpected and showed a lack of care for candidates.

The whole process was pretty fast, finished in about two weeks. It started with a simple phone screen, and then I had an in-person interview. They asked typical behavioral questions and were really friendly the whole time. This job is really aimed at people just out of college.
