There were 3 levels to the interview. First, they looked at resumes, and they seemed to pick people who had done Competitive Programming (CP). The second was a Technical Round where they asked basic questions about the programming language I use, databases, and so on. The third was a Techno-manager round where they asked about topics like Binary Search Trees (BST), Graphs, and Dynamic Programming (DP).

After talking about my experience and if I'm qualified, I got an email to interview. I had a scheduled call, but no one showed up. The HR person kept telling me about delays and then the call was cancelled because the German team didn't join. The HR person called me twice to find times that work. The interview was never rescheduled. A week later, I called to check on the status, but the HR person didn't answer, and that was the end of it. Strangely, I later got a LinkedIn invite from the HR person. Looking at the company now, they have 200 employees and 144 reviews, which says a lot. I guess everything happens for a reason.

I got referred and initially thought it was a full-time role since I was about to graduate. I already had another offer but was interested in the work area. They scheduled an interview but kept postponing it, even asking me to wait until 10:30 pm on a Sunday, only to say the interview would be the next day. The HR was quite unprofessional throughout. The next day, the interviewer (a nice guy) asked about my ML project and then we brainstormed a real problem they had. I proposed a solution and was selected on the spot. The tricky part came with the HR. They offered travel reimbursement from my hometown to Pune (3 AC, not flight), and arranged food, lodging, and daily transport for 3 months, but with no stipend. I couldn't accept working for 3 months without pay, so they offered a 2-month internship with evaluation for a PPO afterward, which I accepted because the project sounded very interesting. I kept asking for the offer letter, but HR kept delaying. Just days before, they informed me that the intern stipend policy had changed to 12,000/month. I was shocked by this sudden change, especially since they were trying to get work from me for a very low stipend. They were offering more to non-IITians than to me (an IITian). Sensing this lack of professionalism, I declined the offer, canceled my tickets, and that same day received calls from better companies.

So, the interview process started with an online aptitude test, a technical assessment, and one coding round. After that, there was a shortlist, and then a second round focused on algorithms, where the goal was to solve a problem with the best time and space complexity. Another shortlist followed this. Subsequently, I went through two more technical rounds and one HR interview. Finally, the process concluded with a telephonic round with the CEO.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Some probability questions and puzzles were asked for the data analyst role, along with HR questions.
  • For the SDE role, the code written in the second round was evaluated and some other easy algorithm-based questions were asked.
