The screening process began with candidates taking the Officer Intelligence Rating Test. This was followed by the Picture Perception and Description Test, where a picture was shown for candidates to write a story about. Afterward, a group discussion was held on the written stories among groups of 10-20 candidates.

It's a 5-day interview process. Day 1 is a screening where about 75% of candidates get rejected. Days 2 through 4 involve 3 phases: a picture perception test (psychological evaluation), group tasks (including situation reaction, group discussions, group obstacle tasks, and individual tasks), and a detailed personal interview. Day 5 is the final decision by the interview board.

The interview was for the UES-25 scheme. It was pretty straightforward for me. They greeted me warmly. First, they asked me to talk about myself. Then, they inquired about my family's jobs and my hometown. Following that, the Colonel asked about my favorite subjects and posed a single question from one of them. The subsequent questions were about my hobbies, and they tried to probe into my likes and dislikes. However, I maintained a calm demeanor with a positive outlook, which helped manage the situation. The next step is the SSB, which I'm anticipating. The key takeaways are: 1. Stay optimistic and patient. 2. Choose your favorite subject wisely. 3. Be very thoughtful about the hobbies you choose.

It was a great 5-day SSB interview process. Day 1 had a screening with a PPDT test and verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Those who passed Day 1 could continue to the next days. Day 2 involved psychology tests like TAT, WAT, SRT, and SD. Day 3 was for GTO tests including two group discussions, a group planning exercise, a progressive group task, a group obstacle race, and a command task. Day 4 also had GTO tests, featuring a half group task, individual obstacles, a lecturette, and an interview. Day 5 concluded with a conference. If recommended, candidates proceed to a 5-day medical examination.
