I applied for the University Entry Scheme(UES) for Engineers. The notifications come around May/June. Students in the pre-final year(3rd yr/5th sem) are eligible. They notify beforehand about the interview which takes place in November(likely). They would visit your campus for direct interview. In my college, no G.D was conducted though, in many colleges it is. Questions are basic technical based and can be answered without very thorough preparation. If you qualify, you will be called for SSB interview.

first requirement that they want is minimum 5'5" hight and 50 above weight . no any apptitutet test directly for personal interview in which they check your confidence and what you should do in danger situation and basic family back ground.

The interview was very formal and was conducted in a disciplined manner. The interviewer began by asking about my personal and educational background. Then, I was given four topics to choose from, and I had to speak on one of them. These topics were related to current affairs. The interviewer also asked me some questions about the organization. Finally, we had a friendly chat, and the interview concluded on a positive note.
