It was a 4 round process. The first round was a screening round where they asked basic python syntax questions, and concepts related to strings, lists, and dictionaries. Technical rounds 1 and 2 had about 8-10 coding questions, OOPS concepts, testing questions, and questions about my projects. The coding questions included things like binary search without using built-in functions, finding unique values in a list/array, removing duplicate records, finding the frequency of each element, identifying the most frequent element, and checking for palindromes. Finally, there was a managerial round with situation-based questions and questions about my expectations.

So, this interview process for what sounds like a PM role, maybe Technical PM (AI/ML) or similar, was pretty thorough. It was split into four stages. First, a virtual techno-functional round, checking if you can connect business needs to tech stuff, like system design and APIs. Then, a virtual product skills round, focusing on how you prioritize features (using things like RICE or Kano), what metrics you track, and how you think about user journeys, maybe involving some whiteboarding. The third round was virtual too, all about AI and ML skills – asking about LLMs, RAG, practical issues like hallucinations, and AI ethics/data. Lastly, there was an in-person HR and culture fit round, which was more about behavioral questions (STAR method), negotiation, and just seeing if you'd vibe with the team and office.

The hiring process had three rounds: an online assessment, a technical interview, and a final interview focusing on problem-solving and cultural fit, essentially puzzles and HR. The online assessment was pretty good, with a decent number of tricky but solvable questions. The tech interview was a bit tough, covering SQL concepts like CTEs and joins, plus a guesstimate, some puzzles, and a probability question. The final round was all puzzles to wrap things up. The main snag was the slow pace of announcements, even during campus hiring.

Got a recruiter call first. The whole thing took about 2 weeks. There were 3 rounds. The first round had basic questions about projects, plus 1-2 SQL questions, 1 Python question, and a puzzle. Then there was an assignment: implement clustering for a clothing brand. The last round was with a lead, and they asked about my projects, team leading experience, and my reasons for wanting to join Impact Analytics. It seemed to go okay, but I got an email saying they chose someone else. No feedback was given, and the recruiter stopped responding to calls and emails.
