Technical Behavioral

The interview process for the Appian Technology Consultant role was remote and had two rounds. The first was a technical round, and the second was a culture evaluation round. Both were scheduled for 30 minutes and had two interviewers. I didn't pass the culture round. Some recruiters mentioned they are very particular about the candidates they seek, suggesting a strong emphasis on value alignment rather than just typical behavioral questions.

Behavioral Technical

Started with a quick recruiter call to go over the job details and check eligibility. It felt like most people get past this stage. The next interview was a mix of behavioral and technical, where they asked about my background and experiences while also assessing my knowledge.

Presentation Behavioral

The interview started with a phone screen with HR. A week later, I was asked to prepare a PowerPoint presentation about my most challenging project. I put a lot of effort into the slides, but then they rescheduled the interview an hour before it was supposed to start. When we finally had the interview, one of the interviewers had to leave early, and the other wasn't paying attention while I was speaking. Two days after that, I was told I wasn't a good fit. While I'm okay with not being fit for the role, the entire process felt disrespectful and disconnected from the company's professional standards.

Technical Presentation Behavioral Case Other

Had a phone screen first, then had to submit one PowerPoint slide about the hardest project I've ever worked on, but I couldn't talk about it. After that, there was a 45 minute call where they asked more questions about my slide and some general behavioral stuff. Then, an in person case study about telemedicine, with 3-4 slides and scenario-based questions. The final step was another 30-45 minute call with 'fit' questions to see how I'd fit on the team. Got the offer later that day. The interviewers were really clear and available for questions.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • How would you implement a telemedicine practice in a rural area?
