Lab Technician
The interview was super chill, with two nice interviewers who made me feel really comfortable. They even gave me a complete tour of the facility, which gave me a better sense of the environment and made things feel even more relaxed and welcoming.
- Are you more of a leader or a follower?
Chemist
We had in-person interviews with the supervisor first, then a second interview with the director and supervisor. After that, they showed us around their lab. All the instruments seemed really old. It's a good place for new grads to get experience, but maybe not for long-term. They pay the least and give you a lot of work.
- Can you discuss your past experience that aligns with this role?
Engineer
This was one of the most unprofessional interviews I've ever had. I was asked a lot of questions, but the interviewer didn't clarify or introduce anything about the role. I wasn't given any opportunity to ask questions either. The video interview was about 30 minutes, and the interviewer took at least 3 external phone calls. Some of these calls were casual chats because I could hear the conversation. I didn't really mind the interviewer taking calls, but I felt it was very disrespectful.
- Could you walk me through the projects on your resume?
Lab Analyst
I applied in August 2020 and heard back within days to set up a virtual interview with the VP. The interview happened the next week and lasted about 25-30 minutes. They asked about my career and education plans, courses, long-term goals, and salary expectations. I thought it went okay, but I'm not sure why I wasn't selected. It would have been better to get some feedback.
- What are your career aspirations for the future?
- Could you tell me about the courses you have completed?
- What are your long-term professional objectives?
