First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ID Business Solutions.
Digital Quality Engineer
It began with a coding challenge, followed by a phone interview, then a situational judgement test, and finally a face-to-face interview. They were supposed to give a second Java test but they forgot, so I ended up doing it in person.
- Tell me about your experience with Java.
- What do you know about DBMS?
- How do you approach Automation?
Software Development Engineer
So the first step was a phone call with the recruiter. They asked me about the company, what products they make, and my work history. After that, I had to do a code review exercise. Between the second and third stages, there were some online tests like situational judgement, numerical, verbal, and logical tests. I'd suggest practicing those on assessmentday. The final stage was a two-hour interview. The first hour was with the technical team, and the second hour was with HR. The technical team asked about my projects, OOP, unit testing, and some reverse engineering on the code review I did. The HR part involved discussing the online tests I'd taken. Remember to use the STAR method for HR questions. The interview itself went well, and I probably would've gotten the job, but I was really tired the day before, and getting there was tough.
- Could you tell me more about the code review?
- What about testing?
Marketing Manager
The interview process included an HR call, a 30-minute call with the hiring manager, and a 1.5-hour panel interview that featured a 30-minute presentation. The requirement for a 30-minute presentation on our organization's product demands significant research and time from a candidate unfamiliar with the company. While the objectives can be stated in various ways, it inherently requires days of work from the candidate. It seemed clear that a preferred candidate was already identified, making the process for others feel like a formality to meet internal requirements. This practice by Danaher is noted to be a recurring issue, contributing to a negative candidate experience. A potential improvement would be to have only the leading candidate complete the presentation, thereby saving time for all involved.
- What are the current challenges in our industry, and how would you develop a marketing strategy for our product?
- Considering the challenges in our industry, how would you create a marketing plan for our product?
Consultant
I was contacted by a recruiter and an interview was set up. When the interview time came, there was no contact from the recruiter. I emailed to ask if there was a mix-up in the interview time and found out the recruiter had made a mistake. We rescheduled for the following week, but again, the recruiter did not contact me. This was pretty unprofessional, as it took up two days of my time. If you weren't interested, you should have at least let me know you changed your mind or something. The fact that I reached out again and they rescheduled only to mess up again made it worse.
- When is the best time to reach you?
