The interview process started really well, with a recruiter intro call that was super informative for both sides and clearly laid out expectations. After several weeks (8) of consistent contact with the Studio team, I had what felt like a great final interview in person with the manager, which was my 14th round and seemed conclusive. A few days later, I was asked to do another 'final interview' with a team member. They rescheduled just 5 minutes beforehand, and the call had poor audio quality making it hard to hear each other. They were also incredibly dismissive of my experience during the interview. I never heard back after that call.

The hiring process began positively, with the phone screen and initial discussions going really well. They communicated the next steps clearly, and the early interviewers were professional and gave good feedback, making me feel like things were progressing fairly. However, the process faltered during the later panel stage. The interviews became inconsistent; while one was insightful and positive, another felt confrontational, asking questions unrelated to the job in a way that seemed designed to make me fail. The focus shifted from assessing relevant skills or having a genuine conversation to creating undue stress. Right after this round, I was rejected, even though I was previously told I'd be moving forward. It was frustrating that the final decision came down to inconsistent evaluations in the panel stage, especially given my strong fit for the role and the positive feedback early on. While I get that cultural fit matters, a fair process should reduce personal bias and keep interviewer standards consistent.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I had an initial chat with HR, then a team member, then I got a case study. After that, I had an interview to explain the case study. Then I interviewed with a PM and HR again. By this point, we were already talking salary, and had 2 salary negotiations. I cleared all interviews and got positive feedback. The company wanted to move forward, so we went to reference checks. Then, out of nowhere, they ghosted me without even checking my references. They rejected me 2 weeks later after I reached out. The reason given was that my case study could have been better, and that I should've provided a research or academic reference. This felt a bit unprofessional to me, especially since that's the exact opposite feedback they gave me after all the case study presentations. So, heads up about this company, don't get your hopes up even after a verbal offer.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process was pretty straightforward and they moved rather quickly. It started with a phone screening, followed by two Zoom interviews, then a case study, and finally a hiring manager interview. Everyone I interviewed with were very nice! After my final interview, I had a short period to see if I would get an offer and I only waited a week. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive one. One thing I did not like about the process was after going through four rounds of interviews, all of which had very personable emails, I was emailed a generic automated rejection letter. I wasn’t thrilled by this as I did work hard throughout the entire interview progress. I wish they gave more insight as to why I wasn’t offered the job and not just an automatic email.
