So first, I had this test, which included a coding question and like 30 MCQs, it was pretty straightforward. Then, I went through a technical interview where they asked about my projects, SQL, and Java. After that, there was a manager interview, which was super casual. Finally, I had an HR interview.

Coding Technical Behavioral

It was a walk-in interview at the Whitefield branch with 4 rounds: a Coding round, 2 Technical rounds, and 1 MR round. The Coding and first Technical rounds went smoothly with professional interviewers. But the interviewer for the second technical round seemed to lack knowledge on Singleton class, Immutable class, and basic OOPs concepts. He got confused with his own questions and took it personally, which was a bad experience.

Confirmed questions6 questions
  • Can you explain Spring Boot annotations?
  • What are Java 8 features?
  • Tell me about the Singleton design pattern.

I got the interview invite from a consulting company. The interview was in person. The first round was a coding round where we had to solve a medium-level problem on paper. They were looking for an optimal solution in terms of memory and time complexity, and this was an elimination round. The second round focused on Java Spring Boot microservices, based entirely on my past projects and resume. After that, HR mentioned there would be a data structures round, followed by a culture fit with a managerial round.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you explain database indexing?
  • What is AOP and can you explain it?
  • Can you write code for the questions asked?

I saw some red flags on Glassdoor mentioning they hire from specific areas, but I went ahead. Round 1 was mostly Java, streams, and some SQL. The interviewer was really nice and helpful. I passed that. Round 2 started with an agitated interviewer. It felt more like an interrogation than an interview. He argued about my answers before I could even explain and asked different questions. He also asked where I was from, and after I said Bangalore, he pressed on where I was *really* from, making me realize he meant my native place. I cancelled other interviews for this, and it really wasn't worth it. It's a shame that a few employees might ruin the company culture.
