First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Huntress.
Director of Security Operations and Enablement
Got referred in by an internal VP. Went through the online app and then chatted with the VP of Global Talent Acquisition. After that, a staff corporate recruiter kicked off the formal interviews. The first couple of chats went great, but then I heard nothing for three weeks. Eventually, I was told they were only moving forward with people who were further along. Kinda shocking that a high-level referral didn't even make it past the hiring manager, makes you think.

Director of Channel Marketing
I applied for the Director of Channel Marketing position at Huntress through LinkedIn, with some help from employee referrals. The whole process felt really professional and quick at first, which made a great impression. It started with a recruiter chat that went smoothly. The recruiter was good at their job, seemed prepared, and asked relevant questions for the role. This made me feel like Huntress cared about giving candidates a good experience. Then I had a really good interview with the hiring manager. We talked a lot about strategy, the company's goals, and what this job means for the company. We covered how success would be judged, the potential difficulties, and how the role fits into the bigger picture. It felt like a high-level, collaborative discussion, and I left feeling excited and thinking it could be a good match. But then the peer interview was a letdown. It felt all over the place and not strategic enough for a senior role. The interviewer seemed bored and complained about recent marketing leadership changes, which was awkward. Instead of a proper senior-level chat, they asked basic, generic questions that didn't fit the channel marketing leadership job. They also didn't seem to know much about channel strategy, making it hard to connect. It felt unprofessional and made me wonder about the team's coordination and if they were ready for senior people. The call was short, under 20 minutes, and ended suddenly, without much chance for us to talk. It was super disappointing, especially after the good start. After that, they went silent. A week later, I got a standard rejection email. The worst part was finding out the job was still open and they were interviewing others. It felt like one bad interview might have messed everything up. Huntress seems like a company with a good mission and energy. The early interviews showed a company aiming high. But I'd suggest they rethink their peer interviews, especially for senior jobs. Making sure everyone is on the same page, engaged, and brings strategic insight at every step is crucial for a fair candidate experience. One bad experience can really hurt an otherwise good process. I still think highly of Huntress and hope they keep improving their hiring.

Community and Influencer Strategist
The whole process took a while and felt like it was dragging on. I had several interview rounds with different team members and managers, and I spent a lot of time getting ready for and giving presentations and strategy decks. People were generally nice during the interviews, but they weren't very clear about what they expected or what would happen next. It felt like some questions were asked more than once in different interviews, and they could have just asked once. It all seemed pretty inefficient, and I got the feeling they didn't really care about how much time I was spending. It would have been way better if the process was more organized and straightforward with fewer, more distinct steps.

Sales Engineer
This was one of the better interview processes I've had. A lot of companies ghost, take forever to reply, and just have bad interviews. My recruiter at Huntress (Bill) was very attentive and the next steps were scheduled very quickly. The process took about 2 weeks total. Feedback was always given and the interviews weren't overly difficult. Overall, a great interview experience.
- What would you do in a specific situation?
- Tell me about your past experiences.
- What do you know about the NIST framework?
