The interview process was fine, no issues. I appreciate them giving me the opportunity to work with them for the time I did. The work was hard, at one point they had the housekeepers cleaning 30 rooms a piece.

I applied through the HCSG website, and a few days later, I got a call for an initial screening. After that, we scheduled a formal interview via Zoom. The interviewer started by telling me about the company and the role. Then, they asked me about my background, relevant experience, and some basic scenario-based questions. Following the interview, I had to provide contact details for three references.

This was the worst interview process I've experienced in my 30 years in foodservice. They really didn't respect my time at all. They scheduled a phone interview but never actually called me, completely ghosting me. In another instance with a different facility, I actually had an interview set up with a district manager for an in-person meeting, but he didn't show up. I had to call him, and he just said he couldn't make it and suggested trying the next week, promising to call me, which he never did. Honestly, if their interview process is this bad, why would I even want to work for them?

I interviewed with HSG today, two weeks after applying. The first interview felt awkward; the interviewer gave a good rating to the district manager but wasn't a good interviewer himself, lacking eye contact and prepared questions. I questioned his suitability to lead the interview. The second interview with the district manager was packed with questions, some repeated. I felt they tried to intimidate me and make the interview more difficult by asking complex, ambiguous, and subjective questions that felt like a philosophy class. To top it off, they informed me moments before the interview that an additional person would be present, which was awkward. This other person stared at me constantly, even when I wasn't speaking, which was confusing and odd.
