Claims Associate
So, the interview had two parts, and it was all done remotely. First, I had a phone call, and then I hopped on Zoom for another interview. The questions were pretty much the same, but the second one was longer, which gave me more time to chat with two of the team supervisors.
- Can you tell me about your experience with customer service?
- What's your understanding of claims and insurance processes?
- How would you handle a challenging situation or solve a problem related to a claim?
Benefits Specialist
I applied to about 10 similar jobs and got emails for 2 saying I seemed like a good fit, with a link to schedule a phone call. The links didn't work, showing an error about no available slots. I emailed them about this, and the same thing happened with text message links. None of the 4 links worked. Eventually, one text link from a different job worked, and I scheduled an appointment. When the appointment time passed without any contact, I figured it was a scheduling app issue. The next day, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward, and the job status changed in the portal. This felt unprofessional and like a waste of time, especially since their systems seemed broken. I'm not sure if it was a scam, though the email domain looked legitimate. It's odd for a company praised for its work environment and customer service not to have a way to report system issues. I didn't get to interview, which was disappointing.

Wellness Coach
So I was greeted by the wrong name and for the wrong position, but once they found my name and resume, we went through some questions about why I wanted the job and what my qualifications were. It wrapped up with a discussion of salary. When I told them my expectation, they basically acted like they couldn't get off the phone fast enough and were borderline rude trying to end the conversation when they realized I wouldn't consider it based on the salary.
- Can you tell me why you applied for this position?
- What specifically about this job caught your interest?
- What are your thoughts on what constitutes excellent customer service?
Customer Service Associate
The interview process was a poor experience. I spoke with a recruiter who seemed to not have my information readily available. He asked questions that were not relevant to me, such as why I applied through a job board, which I clarified I don't do, preferring company career pages. He also asked why I wanted a contract position, but I had to correct him and state I applied for a part-time role. It seemed he had the wrong candidate information. He was unpleasant and rigid, despite me being overqualified with confidence and a likable personality. The recruiter himself was pleasant, but this other person was not.
