They just seat you and briefly talk about your availabilities and experience. They care most about availabilities and don't hire just weekend people (at least at my location). It varies on the managers at the certain chain, but mine were very chill and nice.

So, applying to Gyu-Kaku, you'll usually start with an online application or just dropping off your resume at the restaurant. After that, they'll give you a quick call, just to see if you're available and really want the job. If that goes well, you'll come in for an in-person chat, often with the restaurant manager themselves. They'll be asking about how you handle customers, work with a team, and if you know anything about Japanese food. Sometimes, they might ask you to act out a situation to see how you'd solve problems. They really care about whether you'd fit in with the team and if you're passionate about working in hospitality. For some jobs, there might be more tests to check your skills. Finally, they'll check your references, and if all looks good, they'll offer you the job.

It's a short interview process covering teamwork, customer service, and your past experience. While prior experience is preferred, it's not a strict requirement. You can interview in person or online via Zoom. In-person interviews are often better because you get to meet the manager.
