Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gyu-Kaku.
Server
They just seat you and briefly talk about your availabilities and experience. They care most about availabilities and don't hire just weekend people (at least at my location). It varies on the managers at the certain chain, but mine were very chill and nice.
- Are you okay with handling busy weekend nights or PM shifts?
Server
It was an easy job overall, but personality is super important here. Your past work experience will be a big help in your daily tasks and for growth opportunities. You gotta be flexible and a hard worker. Bring a positive attitude and energy.
- What would you do in a specific situation?
Server
The lead server was nice and explained the roles. They were upfront about the work. Management interviewed me right after the lead server.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
