Recruiter
It was a very long interview process, they brought me in 5 times. I was really interested in the culture and what they said about being transparent and doing the right thing. But that wasn't true, they told me different things than what was in the offer letter. I was super excited about this job until I got the offer and had to go back to them several times because it wasn't what we discussed. For example, they said not signing the non-compete wouldn't change my base salary, but the paperwork showed my base salary would be cut in half if I didn't sign it. There were other things too that totally went against what I was told during the interviews. So, I couldn't accept the offer because it was based on lies, and I have ethical standards for recruiting. The office itself was pretty cool and modern with good tech that made recruiting easier, and the employees were nice.

Intern
The hiring process was a bit drawn out, mostly due to a transition period when I applied. The interviews aren't super tough, but you definitely need to prep. Govig is a really professional and competitive place. They get tons of intern applications, so you've got to show them why you're the top choice. If you've got that sales-like approach, you might be better ready. Know the company inside and out, do your research, and if it's a good match, it'll work out. You'll likely have about 2-3 interviews. You'll start with the corporate recruiter, then interview with the VP, and maybe even the CEO. The interview process is actually pretty cool. They'll show you around the office and you'll probably meet some awesome people. If you want a great internship at a fantastic company, demonstrate why you're the best fit for the job.
- Can you share something about your family?
- What makes you interested in Govig?

Sales Assistant
I first spoke with Govig on April 4th for a phone screen. It was pretty standard, mostly about the job and my background. After that, I was sent some personality and Microsoft Office tests via email. A few days later, I was invited for an in-person interview on April 18th. I met with several people, including the VP of the division. The interviews were really thorough and they were very open about everything, making sure I knew what to expect. To move forward, I had to write a 'letter of interest' to the hiring manager and recruiter. I sent that and was asked back for another interview on May 2nd. This time, I met with the two recruiters I'd be supporting. They were again very thorough and honest about expectations. Following that, there was a short observation period, and then another discussion with the VP. I got a call offering me the job on my way home. The whole thing felt really organized and well-directed.
- The VP kept asking if I would be fine with an assistant job since I originally applied for a recruiter role.
- She was trying to confirm I wouldn't regret accepting an assistant position.
Executive Recruiter
The Hiring Manager was great to work with, and I really respect the organization and its culture. The first phone interview was nerve-wracking but also exciting. The first in-person meeting was fantastic. The Hiring Manager made me feel at ease right away. We discussed my background and the challenges of raising children. The office has a very impressive display of awards, which was quite striking.
