First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Govig & Associates.
Intern
The hiring process was a bit drawn out, mostly due to a transition period when I applied. The interviews aren't super tough, but you definitely need to prep. Govig is a really professional and competitive place. They get tons of intern applications, so you've got to show them why you're the top choice. If you've got that sales-like approach, you might be better ready. Know the company inside and out, do your research, and if it's a good match, it'll work out. You'll likely have about 2-3 interviews. You'll start with the corporate recruiter, then interview with the VP, and maybe even the CEO. The interview process is actually pretty cool. They'll show you around the office and you'll probably meet some awesome people. If you want a great internship at a fantastic company, demonstrate why you're the best fit for the job.

- What are your expectations for an internship?
Intern
I first connected with the talent acquisition team at a job fair. After speaking with a few people on the phone, I set up an interview. They also gave me a couple of tests to gauge my skills and personality, which were of average difficulty. The first interview was more about getting to know me as a person and less about my qualifications, which I appreciated. They really value cultural fit, both in their hiring and among their current employees. They answered all my questions well, and I didn't feel overly stressed. The second interview focused more on the job and my suitability for it, rather than cultural fit. While there was a bit more pressure, I never felt uncomfortable. I called back after a few days of waiting to hear about their decision, and they said they'd let me know by the end of the week. Early the next week, they called to say I was a good fit and they'd be happy to have me.

Intern
I talked with a few executives about my application. They were mostly asking the same questions, but they really wanted to figure out the best place for me within the company. I had applied for one role, but they moved me to a different one because they thought I might get bored in the initial position. The people there are great and very helpful, and they really care about making sure you're happy!
- What's something about you that's not on your resume?
