Same day after applying on LinkedIn, I got an email saying I have potential for several opportunities. Next day, I did a 15 minute aptitude test. Got another automated email saying they were impressed and wanted to check my technical skills. Later that evening, I completed a 60+ minute technical challenge with 3 coding exercises and 2 questions. Following morning, I woke up to an automated email saying the position's needs shifted and they were going in an alternative direction. Still no clue what happened to the "several open opportunities." The LinkedIn post is still up.

It was a totally automated process. After applying, I got an email with a link to do a timed IQ test, which included things like finding patterns and matching synonyms. If that went well, I got another link for the actual coding challenge, also timed. I had 60 minutes for three questions. That's as far as I got. Even though I managed to finish all three questions, including handling edge cases and passing all the tests they provided, I got an automated message about 24 hours later saying I didn't meet the minimum requirements. They suggested I reapply in 3 months to 'further hone my abilities.' It's all pretty weird, especially since I completed the first two rounds successfully. Makes you wonder if it's a scam.

The process is super straightforward: first, there's an Aptitude Assessment (basically an IQ test), then a Technical Assessment (coding). That's it, you're either hired or rejected. No human interaction at all. I aced the first assessment, got congratulated, and was then asked to do the second assessment. The outcome was an email saying my assessment result wasn't good enough to move forward, and they suggested reapplying in 3 months. Seriously? Knowing my solution was way better than the minimum, handling edge cases and all that, I suspect it was a very automated process with poor oversight. I'll probably not even bother applying again. The assessments themselves are poorly designed, and the instructions might say 'multiple choices questions' but the interface only allows selecting one option.

Submitted my resume online. Then I got some follow-up assessments from Gigster HR, the IPRA and Screening Assessments. After that, I moved on to a 90 minute "Real World" assignment where I had to pitch a business idea and record myself presenting it. If they liked the recording, I then met with the investment group (Iconic) who advanced me to their operations leadership for a call, and then their CFO for another call. After those calls, I never heard back, even after I reached out to Gigster to check on the status.
