First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Genuine Parts Company.
Director of Talent Management
The interview process was very professional, thorough, and fair. It lasted about seven weeks and had five rounds. I really enjoyed it all, from the phone screening, to a virtual leader 1:1, then in-person 1:1s with individual team members, and finally meeting the CHRO. It's such an amazing organization with a bright future!
- Can you tell me about a time you developed a succession planning strategy from the ground up?
Senior Financial Analyst
It was 3 rounds total. Started with a phone screen, then a video call with the hiring manager, and finally an in-person meeting with the team. Everyone was really nice, respected my time, and seemed super smart. They made me feel welcome. They seemed most interested in my work ethic and how I approach business problems.
- Tell me about a challenging task you had to complete under a tight deadline.
Analytics Manager
It was a simple process. It began with a recruiter screen, then an interview with the hiring manager, and then more levels if they were needed. The job requires you to be in the office 3 days a week right now. The people were friendly and easygoing. Benefits are average, nothing special. They offer a bonus and base pay, plus PTO and a normal amount of holidays.
- How did you find out about this role?
- Can you discuss your technical skills and past work?
Leave of Absence Specialist
This interview process took 3 months and was incredibly unorganized, unprofessional, and frankly abysmal. I was told by the recruiter there would be 2 interviews, but it ended up being 3 (2 virtual and 1 in person). After each interview, neither the recruiter nor the managers would respond to my follow-up emails, basically ghosting me. They finally extended an offer 3 months later, but it was for 10k less than my salary requirements. Just to be clear, my salary needs were discussed in the second and third interviews, yet the managers avoided stating the budget, lowballed me, and ultimately wasted my time.
- Can you tell me what you know about GPC and what kind of behavioral questions are typical?
- What value do you think you can bring to GPC?
