I had six interviews in total, and they all went really well. It was great getting to meet the team and visit the office, which had high-tech equipment. Parking was easy, and the directions were clear. The whole process felt very professional, with each interview lasting about 30 minutes. I just wished I had a bit more time.

The hiring operations manager was unprofessional and disengaged from the start. It felt like the interview process was an inconvenience. This behavior doesn't align with GAF's values. The manager asked three questions and seemed annoyed about the time it took. This made me uncomfortable and reduced my interest and confidence. HR should guide the manager on interviewing better or join future interviews.

Behavioral Technical

I interviewed for a quality engineering role and honestly, it was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding parts of my college career. If you're thinking about quality engineering, GAF is a solid place to start because they're really invested in helping you learn if you show genuine interest in them and what they do. The interview process is mostly just a way to get to know the students and see if there's a good fit with any of the hiring managers, so just try to be yourself and build a connection with them!

Behavioral

This company's hiring process was the most ridiculous I encountered, strictly behavioral questions and nothing related to the job. Every question in the panel interview was a "tell me about a time..." or "describe a situation where...". Glad I didn't get the job. The really good job opportunities I interviewed with asked relevant questions or were casual conversations about my skills and experience, what they were looking for, and discussing the job.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Describe a time you had to troubleshoot something.
