Behavioral Technical Case

We start by defining the job profile, which is focused on FP&A leadership, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, and controls. Then, we source candidates both inbound and outbound, particularly looking for people with backgrounds in regulated financial services and FP&A leadership. The first step is a 30-minute recruiter screen to check eligibility, motivation, and compensation alignment. After that, there's a first-round interview with the hiring manager, lasting 45–60 minutes, to assess core competencies and role fit.

So I did a background check first. Then I had to do a pre-recorded video interview. After that, a recruiter called me to set up an interview. The interview itself was with my potential supervisor and another person from FSA. They asked me about my past work and some general interview stuff. I heard back about the results around 3 days later.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online. Then I got an email link to do a background check, which I passed. After that, a recruiter called to see if I was still interested. The recruiter said they didn't think I'd be interested, which was strange. Then, I had a virtual interview with the recruiter and the government customer. It was weird because both the recruiter and the government asked me the same questions, and I had to answer them multiple times. Usually, I interview with the recruiter first to see if I fit the company, and then with the government for the role itself. Doing them together is odd. A couple of times, it was obvious they weren't paying attention and asked stuff I'd already said. The recruiter ghosted me afterward and the company gave no info on benefits, which is super unprofessional.

The whole thing took about four months. I sent in my application online, then I had a chat with a recruiter over the phone. After that, I had to do a timed interview on my computer where I had to record myself answering some questions. I also had to give them some info for an initial background check. Lastly, I went to the FBI office for the final interview, which was with a panel of three people, and one person joined via video call from DC headquarters. Even though it was a long process, the recruiter kept me updated the whole time.
