The interview was a really chill experience, very relaxed. The hiring manager was friendly and understanding of my personal circumstances. It wasn't intense at all, and I felt totally at ease when answering everything they asked. Honestly, it was one of the best interviews I've had over the years.

So basically there was a few steps in the interview process. First, a basic screening to see if I fit the general profile. Then, more detailed conversations with the hiring manager and the team that I would be working with. No one from the executive level was involved in interviewing me. They just wanted to make sure I had the skills needed for the role.

I applied, they called me in for an interview. They were quick to follow up, but I had already received another offer. The benefits were good, and they offered education reimbursement. There's also opportunity for advancement into management roles. They asked about my background, and although I didn't have specific grocery experience, they were mainly looking for customer service skills.

I applied online, and then got an email saying to come to an open interview. The manager I met with was nice but didn't seem to know much about hiring. They weren't sure if they were hiring for the position I applied for and said they needed cashiers more. I said I had no cashier experience, and they joked that the training was basic. The questions were easy but focused on how I interact with people, not my skills. I've worked for Fry's before, and the manager didn't know how long I'd hear back or if it would be a call or email. I got a call a few days later about a position, but I missed it. The number wasn't recognized as Fry's and looked like spam. They didn't try calling back, email, or update my application. The whole process has been a mess.

  • Can you share an instance where you performed a kind act for another person?
