Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fry's Food.
Sales Associate
The questions weren't too hard, and the interviewer was friendly, giving me time to think before answering. They asked about the positions I was interested in and then some typical interview questions. I got a job offer right away, which I guess is common because they seem to have a lot of openings.
- Tell me about a time you helped someone else.
- What are your three greatest strengths?
- What are your three biggest weaknesses?
Sales Associate
It was a pretty straightforward interview process, just a couple of questions and then a drug test. The interviewer didn't seem overly engaged, and I got the offer within ten minutes.
- What value can you bring to the company?
Sales Associate
Applied online, submitted my resume and usual work experience. Then there were some multiple-choice tests to gauge fit, including questions about needing rewards for good work and a proficiency test with letter/farm analogies (like Pen is to paper, paint is to paintbrush...). After passing those, I was called to schedule an interview at the store with the hiring manager.
- How do you feel about being rewarded for a job well done?
- Tell me about your best job experience.
- Describe your worst job experience and the reasons for it.
