First, there's a quick call with HR to see if you're qualified, motivated, and if your expectations match what we're looking for and the basic job criteria. If that goes well, you'll have a Teams interview with an HR person to dive deeper into your background, skills, and motivations. It's also your chance to ask about the company and the job. After the HR interview, you'll take a personality test to understand your working style and how you fit with the company culture and job demands. Finally, if the test results are good, you'll meet with the hiring manager to discuss the technical and organizational aspects, your practical experience, and your goals, making sure your skills and personality are a good fit for the team and the responsibilities.

I had a 1.5-hour meeting with the direct manager and the manager twice over for the position in a small office setting. We spent a good amount of time discussing the quality department and how it operates. Then, we moved on to talking about my CV, with a focus on proactivity. This included being proactive in the role itself, like chatting with engineers from other departments over coffee to discuss quality matters, and also being proactive outside of the core responsibilities, such as developing VBA programs that are usually managed by the IT department.

The interview with Framatome was really structured and well put together. Talking with the N+1, N+2, and the end client was professional, clear, and respectful. Everything flowed smoothly and methodically, making the experience feel reassuring and valuable. The questions they asked were technical, specific, and relevant, showing they have a thorough and demanding recruitment process. I especially liked how transparent and consistent the conversations were, and how the interviews felt progressive and well-thought-out. It was a constructive time where I felt heard, engaged, and respected.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process is a key step in hiring, meant to see if a candidate is a good fit for a role at a company. Here's how it generally works: First, applications are reviewed by recruiters or HR, and those who meet basic criteria move on. Then, shortlisted candidates get invited to an interview with details like date and time. Candidates should prep by researching the company and role, and reviewing their own experience. The interview itself is usually in-person, though phone or video calls are common. One or more interviewers, like hiring managers or team members, might be involved. The interview could be structured or semi-structured. Interviewers ask different types of questions, such as behavioral, technical, motivation, and company culture questions. Candidates should use real examples from their past to back up their answers. Interviewers assess skills, experience, personality, motivation, and fit with the company and role. They'll take notes on responses and general impressions. Candidates usually get to ask questions at the end about the company, role, and culture. After the interview, the company might contact successful candidates for more interviews or to check references. Candidates will then be told the final decision. If a candidate is chosen, the company will extend a job offer with details on salary, benefits, and work conditions. The candidate can then negotiate the offer, and if terms are agreed upon, they accept and start onboarding. Every interview is different, but this general process helps employers evaluate candidates and candidates decide if they want to work there.
