Social Media Manager
Got contacted by the recruiter a few days after applying. We scheduled a 30-min interview with her a week later and the call went well, though some of my questions for the direct team couldn't be answered. I was told I'd hear back in a week and after 15 days and 2 follow up emails, I was finally told I wasn't right for the role.
- What motivated you to apply for this role?
Server
This was pretty easy if you have prior serving experience. They wanted about 2 years of serving experience. You had to take a test on liquor and wine knowledge. If they thought you had good experience, they would ask you back for a shadow shift.
- What's your total serving experience in years?
Hostess Prep Cook Dishwasher
I saw an ad on Craigslist about interviews and decided to check it out. The ad didn't mention that experience was required, which was a bit strange since I do have past experience. When I got there, I had to wait to get an application and then fill it out. There were a lot of other people there, and only one lady was interviewing people, even though another manager was present but just sitting there. It took a while to get to my turn because people were cutting in line. When it was my turn, I sat down with the lady. She seemed nice at first, but then she kept questioning my experience and making rude faces. Her tone became rude and unprofessional after I explained why I applied. I felt like she didn't like me, even though I had previous experience and was one of the few dressed appropriately. Towards the end, she mentioned that this place was very different from others and that I wouldn't fit in. I think she could have been nicer instead of rude and unprofessional. It seems like they hire whoever they want, regardless of experience.
- What makes you want to work at this establishment?
Restaurant Manager
The whole process was very professional and courteous. We started with a 1st Phone interview with a recruiter, which was about 45 min. The recruiter was very knowledgeable, warm, and motivating about the opportunity. I was determined that I wanted to work with FRC and that I had a reasonable shot after our conversation. Then, there was a 2nd In person interview with the AD, which lasted about 1 hour. Next, I did a Stag follow shift in one of the restaurants during service. Finally, there was a Review with a GM and AD post follow shift. After all that, I was offered the position.
- Could you tell us why you are interested in FRC and this role at this specific time?
