First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Flink.
Analytics Engineer
My impression during the interview process is that Flink doesn’t care about people. For the first interview I did not get the calendar invite, and I had thought it was a genuine mistake. However, after second round of interviews, which I had the impression went well, they never bothered to send a rejection or any update. Even after following up after 3 weeks from the last interview, Flink doesn’t bother to reply.

Customer Service Representative
First, you'll schedule a video call with HR to discuss your general experience and motivation. They'll explain the role, the company, and the next steps. Then, you'll have an in-person meeting at the office with the department head. This is where they'll dive deeper into your experience, motivation, and personality. It's also your chance to ask about the job itself. There's also a typing test to check your Dutch and English skills and your customer contact approach. You'll get a tour of the office to meet potential workspace and colleagues. About a week later, you'll get a call back with the results of your application.
- Tell me about your prior customer service experience.
- What makes you want to focus on customer service specifically, rather than a broader role like a shop assistant?
- What kind of work environment and supervisor do you envision as ideal?
Android Developer
First chat with the recruiter to talk about the whole hiring process, what the Android Developer job is like, and the company in general. Then, a technical chat with the Engineering Manager about your tech background, if you'd fit the team, and how you work. After that, a system design interview focusing on the architecture and scalability of an Android app or mobile system, to see how you break down and solve hard tech problems. Finally, a live coding challenge where you'll code a solution to a tech problem on the spot, usually Android-related, to show off your coding chops, how fast you are, and your problem-solving methods.

UX Designer
I applied to what was advertised as a Junior/Mid lvl UX Designer role. The recruiter mentioned my job would be to replace the Senior Designer who is leaving. This implies they were looking for Mid/Senior Designers, which was not stated in the job posting. The interview confirmed my suspicions based on their poor Glassdoor reviews. I was told I would be updated within 2-3 days, but they ghosted me. The initial recruiter/HR contact was disorganized and unresponsive, failing at basic interview process management. Their lack of communication, unclear expectations, and unprofessionalism make me question their internal operations. If this is how they treat candidates, I can only imagine internal chaos. A company's hiring process reflects its culture, and Flink lacks structure and professionalism. Expect a frustrating and time-wasting experience. I consider this bullet dodged.
