Video Editor
It began with a recruiter chat, who was great and kept me updated. Then I spoke with a production director, which was fantastic and ran way over time. After that, I had an interview with the production manager, which was weird and felt like they wanted to end it quickly, maybe they'd already made a decision. There was also a test edit, but the assets were ancient and didn't match their usual style. The instructions were unclear, and the production manager didn't seem to know what they meant either. It felt like a setup to fail.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What questions do you have about our company?
- Walk me through the decisions you made for the test edit.
Office Manager
They put me through 4 rounds of interviews. This process was unnecessarily long, and they took their sweet time responding to candidates and scheduling the next round of interviews each time. Overall it took over a month from the time I was first invited for an interview to when my final interview was completed. After all 4 interviews and a lot of positive feedback, I was ghosted. I sent emails asking for updates...no response. I find it highly unprofessional for a company to ghost their candidates when they've already narrowed it down to such a small number of people. A simple copy & paste rejection email would've been better than no response after 4 interviews and over a month of my time and effort. To be honest, whenever I get ghosted after interviewing several times, I'm always somewhat relieved to not get an offer, because I think it speaks volumes about how the company treats their employees.
- Describe a situation where you had a conflict with a coworker and how you resolved it.
Account Manager
The interview process was really great and thorough. I spoke with the recruiter, Mackenzie, throughout the process and she was there to answer any questions I had along the way. I met with several SVP/VP positions all of which had different thoughts to contribute to our conversation and different questions to ask, so it wasn't repetitive despite the multiple interviews! From the get, the First Media team was very nice and inviting.
- Tell me about your overall experience and any examples you have of making a direct impact on a team or process.

- What are you most familiar with from a management, sales, and reporting standpoint?
Executive Assistant
First the recruiter emailed me and set up a zoom meeting with head of HR. After I had a zoom meeting about 30 minutes reviewing my résumé, and HR explaining the job culture. Few days later the person who interviewed me emailed me and set up an in person interview with the president of the company. After that a week later HR called me on the phone and asked my availability for when I was able to start, send that Friday send me all the paperwork, and contract.
- Can you tell me about your previous job responsibilities?
- How do your past duties compare to the requirements listed for this role?
- What prompted your departure from your previous employment?
