Had a usual phone screen with HR. Then a 2nd interview with the department head. The 3rd interview was in-person with the team where we went over questions and I asked some too. Thought it went well but they moved on with other candidates. I asked for feedback but didn't get a response.

The interview process started with a reach out from Talent Acquisition, then the BDR Manager, and finally the BDR Manager with a local AE. The third stage was the most involved, where I had to write three emails and then choose a financial services cybersecurity standard to discuss. All three stages went well. However, after three weeks of no response, I followed up and was informed that someone with more experience got the job. I have three years of cybersecurity experience, which I believe is sufficient for this role. I invested about 7 hours into preparing the emails and the final interview, and it's disappointing they didn't inform me sooner. I even reached out to the ANZ MD for feedback on my experience, but received no reply. I suspect a former colleague might be spreading negative information, possibly contributing to this outcome. My advice is to avoid misogynistic behavior; it's unacceptable. I also want to ensure my email content, which is my intellectual property and not AI-generated as they inquired, is respected.

The interview process was pretty easy and simple, but it took way too long between interviews. The interviewers were okay, though some seemed checked out. My future manager actually forgot about our meeting once, and honestly, I got the vibe they wouldn't be a reliable source of help. Updates after the interviews were slow, taking almost two months to get any real news.

Technical Coding System Design Behavioral

The interview process felt a bit disorganized, like they were still figuring things out. The first round involved a DSA problem, some Java and Spring questions, and a chat about my projects; it felt like a back-and-forth discussion. The second round focused on projects, tech stack, and system design (microservices, multi-tenancy). The interviewer also asked about salary expectations and my last performance rating, which felt very mechanical and rapid-fire. After a few quiet days, there was another technical interview covering projects, tech stack, and system design again (specifically benchmarking and capacity planning). This interviewer was cool and we had a good chat, but it felt like a repeat. The final round was behavioral, and surprisingly, the questions were very basic, like talking to a new grad about family and career choices from way back. I was told I was selected afterwards but never received an offer. They should at least update candidates on the status, even if it's a rejection. Also, it would be helpful to be clear about what to expect in each round.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Discuss benchmarking the apps for capacity planning.
  • How would you solve DSA problems like spiral matrix and intervals?
  • Explain concepts related to System design - Microservice and multi-tenancy.
