Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process started with a recruiter call, which felt cold and dismissive, covering standard HR topics like background, salary, and work-life balance. Following that, I met with the hiring manager, and that interview also went well. The next step was a product exercise which involved three scenarios: writing instructions for drawing a roundabout, identifying a flaw in a door design and proposing a solution, and developing a product. This assignment took about three hours, making the total time investment around four hours. Their feedback was simply that the work 'doesn't align with our business needs,' with no specific details. I tried to get more information, but the HR contact gave a vague, corporate response. The lack of clear feedback for such a significant time commitment was off-putting.

Coding Technical System Design

Envoy's recruiter called me directly, and I had a technical interview the same week. It was pretty straightforward, covering OOP, design patterns, some coding, and SQL. I got positive feedback, and the recruiter asked for my documents before discussing salary. The following week, I followed up, and they said they were checking HR availability and would get back to me. After two days of no contact, I reached out again, and they told me they were putting my profile on hold because my salary expectations were too high, even though they were okay with them earlier. Honestly, don't bother applying; they seem unsure about their process.

Behavioral Technical

Standard interview process. Had a phone screen with the direct supervisor. Then, in-person interviews with the whole team, which took about 2 hours. They move fast, and within a week, I had an interview scheduled with the team. Their HR person, Jess, is really considerate and friendly and has been communicative throughout. She knows how to be courteous and the initial communication is helpful in gauging how a company treats employees. The rest of the team was amazing too! Very down-to-earth and intelligent people. It seems like it would be a great collaborative working environment doing meaningful work. I love it when companies are organized and diligent about keeping candidates informed. Let's see how it goes! So far so good!

You apply online and answer some basic HR questions about why you're leaving your current job and your interest in Visanow. Then, there's a phone interview with the corporate recruiter that lasts about 15-20 minutes. It's mostly HR questions about your reasons for leaving, your knowledge of Visanow, your current salary, and your salary expectations. The recruiter mentioned a new position, 'case specialist,' opening up and said she'd call about it, but I never heard back and eventually got a rejection email for my initial application. Overall, it was an okay experience.
